Old-world meets modern with charcuterie

 

Justin Brunson—chef and owner of Old Major, Masterpiece Deli, Masterpiece Kitchen, Masterpiece Luncheonette and Culture Meat & Cheese— recently announced plans for his latest business venture, Rocky Mountain Charcuterie (RMC). The 6,000 square foot meat production facility will be on the corner of 38th Avenue and Steele Street and plans to specialize in local deli meats, sausage, bacon, salamis and whole muscle cuts sourced from family farms and ranchers throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Brunson says he plans to utilize old-world techniques to process pork, beef, lamb and poultry.  Rocky Mountain Charcuterie will wholesale packaged products to national grocery stores and restaurants. Brunson has also made plans to partner with local Colorado favorites, like providing Italian meats for Rosenberg’s Bagels new concept Lou’s Italian and using Infinite Monkey Theorem merlot to produce a red wine salami.

 

 

Summer camps created to get kids outside

 

Colorado-based Avid4 Adventure introduces pre-school through 7th graders to the power of authentic outdoor adventure. With help from its time-tested curriculum and experienced instructors, Avid teaches campers of all levels to rock climb, stand up paddle board, kayak, mountain bike, hike and thrive in the outdoors. Colorado camps are located in Boulder, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Golden, Greenwood Village, Hilltop, Highlands Ranch, Lafayette, Denver Wash Park and Stapleton. Avid’s hope is that the skills Avid's campers learn will stay with them through life and that they’ll continue to be active and maybe even teach the rest of the family how to paddle or mountain bike.

The Lone Tree Arts Center is a professional, innovative and environmentally friendly, LEED Certified venue. Owned and operated by the City of Lone Tree, LTAC has created a dynamic model for the performing arts in both presenting and producing performances for all ages. In addition to producing their own theatrical shows each year, LTAC collaborates with premier Colorado performing arts companies to present their productions in Lone Tree. An intimate venue with every seat closer than 60 feet from the stage, LTAC has become a prime location for intimate concerts with headline performers as well as international and national touring artists. LTAC is also an important meeting and event rental site for corporate, civic, private, and community arts groups. This state-of-the-art performing arts center is located near I-25 and Lincoln Avenue.
